A heat exchanger having a plurality of parallel pipes arranged in lines and strips of fin plates fixed to the pipes perpendicularly to the lengths thereof. Turbulence-forming structures are cut out of the fin plates and are bent up at 90 DEG with respect to the planes of the plates, such structures functioning as fin plate spacers and as baffles to direct a fluid medium of inferior heat transfer coefficient which flows in a direction parallel to the planes of the finned plates and perpendicularly to the pipes. The pipes are adapted to conduct a fluid medium of superior heat transfer coefficient. The turbulence-forming structures are disposed in lines on each side of the lines of pipes and in rows which are substantially tangential to the opposite sides of the pipes. The heat exchanger may have a plurality of lines of pipes spaced equally transversely from each other and transvetsely of the direction of flow of the fluid medium of inferior heat transfer coefficient. Further turbulence-forming structures may be disposed along the center line between the successive lines of pipes.

The invention relates to heat exchangers, particularly to tube-to-plate heat exchangers.
The purpose of the invention is to intensify heat transfer.
In Fig.1 schematically shows the proposed heat exchanger, longitudinal section; in fig. 2 - the same plan view; Fig. 3 shows plates with slots having bent edges.
The heat exchanger contains a bundle of rows of round tubes 1, staggered on intersecting diagonals, and flat plates 2 fixed on tubes with a constant pitch along their length, made with slots 3 and 4 having edges 90 bent at 90 °. The angle between the diagonals and the direction of the annular medium is 45-60, and the slots 3 and 4 are located on intersecting straight lines lying midway between these diagonals parallel to the latter, with one part of the slots 3 located at the intersection points of the indicated straight lines, and the other and 4 - at the points of intersection with them tangent to the rows of tube 1 and coinciding with the direction of fluid flow annulus.

and flat plates 2. At the same time, due to the arrangement of the slots 3 and 4 and the edges 5, which are turbulators, on the plates 2, an optimal distribution of heat fluxes around the pipes 1 and the annular space is ensured, which in general intensifies heat exchange.
